Too much?

How ridiculous is it to complain about having too much to celebrate!? Feeling in a funk and just can't get the energy together to finish some of the projects I wanted to have ready for this weekend. We have Brooklyn's birthday, Declan's birthday, our anniversary, and Mother's Day. Really needing to focus on the reason to celebrate and not the stuff. Time to put on some good tunes and power through =) Hopefully I'll have my sh*t to gether enough to take pictures this year!

Old Stuff

I've been very lazy tending to this blog so there is a bunch of random stuff to share. Here are the highlights =)

Saturday morning forts! He grabs every pillow in the house and random items from the den and makes his own mini house. The first picture is of him enjoying the view from his bedroom =)

 She is not a morning person. If I try to sing to her while getting her out of her crib and changing her diaper, she tells me "No!" and will try to cover my mouth :/

Making our Summer Fun list! Declan was very excited about this!

Next weekend my first born turns 4!!! I really can't believe how fast these last four years have been. Pretty excited for his Hot Wheels party!



A week out

Well it looks like Delainey's ear surgery went well. I was a wreck. I fully anticipated being a wreck. I knew she would be a hot mess coming out of surgery but it was really hard to watch. As the nurse was filling out the last pieces of paperwork to release us I had the same feeling I had the first time I took her brother home from the hospital. The feeling was something along the lines of ,"really!? These nurses are just going to let us take this baby home and fend for ourselves? Are we really ready for this???" I would have been happy to sit in the hospital all day just to have them watch her for me and make sure every little sound and action she did was completely normal. It didn't help that just a couple hours after getting home she spiked another insane fever. This time it was 104.6. They had told me not to give her Motrin so I tried the Tylenol and took her temp again and it read 105.8....holy sh*t :/

SO I called her doc and he ok'd Motrin and her fever crept down but then the cough started and goo started oozing out of her face. She caught the wicked cold her brother had just gotten over. Probably the worst cold either has had. Up all night coughing, feverish, achy, just awful!

The cold is finally tapering off and we've finished the antibiotics and have one dose of ear drops left. It seems like we have a bright future ahead of us. Of course only time will tell but we are looking forward to a happier healthier baby! And I am really hoping there is a little more sleep in my future as well =)

Busy busy busy...sick sick sick!

We have all been well maybe 2 weeks in the past six months! Ear infections, random fevers, 5ths disease!? It has been non-stop...thank you preschool!

We go for an ENT consultation today. Lainey is on # 6 of a double ear infection so it looks like tubes are necessary :( At least they don't seem to be interfering with her hearing. She is talking non stop these days...getting so big! My babies are really playing together too. Most days these bouts of play end in tears where either Declan was too rough or Delainey bit her brother, but they quickly get over it and are off to the next thing. Really hoping she outgrows the biting fast :/

I'll hopefully be back later with some video uploads =). Our computer is messed up right now so it has been difficult to get online.

Coffee table

This is the reason why our coffee table is now sitting in a random spot by our front door. On the other side of the baby gate.

I kept telling Jason how hard it was to keep her off the tables (she likes the side table as well). He would just give me a "look" and go on his way. Well last saturday I left both kids with him for most the day and came home to a den without a coffee table. I think he finally understood how persistent our little girl is.

Finally a Christmas post

Really haven't been taking pictures lately. We spent most of the holiday away from home and therefore our time was spent making sure Delainey stayed out of trouble. It was exhausting...and didn't allow for much photo taking. Next year we should be able to relax a little bit since she should be out of her "put everything in my mouth" stage. With that being said I still have 2 photos of the kiddos.  


Auntie Tracy or TT as Declan calls her brought Delainey back a little Hawaiian outfit. She loved it!

This was Santa's gift to Declan. He is really into super heroes right now. I love the look on his face!

I'm loving the slower pace of this week! Yesterday I took the tree down and all the decorations. I think it was the first time I felt relief instead of sadness packing away all the stuff. I am so ready for a little relaxing down time. The weather has been beautiful this week and we've been gardening and playing outside. I heard it might get colder this weekend...hoping that person was wrong. I'm loving summer in January =)
